Three recently aquainted distant cousins are up against a brick wall regarding an elusive Mitchell family resident in the St. Pancras/Marylebone area of London in the 1860's. We have a Robert Alexander Mitchell, possibley married to an Ann/Annie of Hertford who had a son born 1858/59/60. R.A.M snr was a painter and was dead by 1881. R.A.M. jnr. was a carman and married Elizabeth Page in 1882. Then living at Little Albany St, nr Regents Park. They had several Children ...Jessie1882, Maud 1884, Frank 1887, Charles 1888, Hope 1890, Theodore 1893. We have one family which is a possible candidate living at 11, Henry St St. Pancras in 1861 then 6, Henry St in 1871. Occupations match as does the Hertford connection. The Henry St family have a father called Alexander and two sons, one called Robert 1856 and Alexander 1860. Any information greatly appreciated. Fraser Mitchell.
