Trying to find Moore's from the U.K.
Richmond Edward Moore. May have been a Policeman, his son:
Frederick Alfred Moore (ship steward) m Catherine Ferrier, Paddington, Middlesex, 1855. Marriage witnessed by Richmond Charles Moore (? brother) and Emma Jane Moore (? sister of Frederick or Richmond Charles' wife). (All the above information is listed on their marriage certificate)
Frederick & Catherine had 4 children Catherine b.c1857 Frederick b.c 1859 Emma b.c 1860 Rose b.c 1862
This family came to New Zeland aboard the 'Duke of Edinburgh' in 1873 and landed in Wellington, New Zealand.
I would appreciate any information on the above listed people and thank you kindly in advance. I have some information from the 1861 census, but have lost all track of them prior. Any suggestions? or anyone available to look further for me? I'm stumped!

Sylvia, Thank you for all your information, it's great! I have the census record and death record for Richmond and I actually wonder if he is Frederick's brother - given that their birth dates are reasonably close. I come to a screaming halt about there though! and I don't know what to do next. Cheers Lyn

I looked again at that 1841 Census, the one with a Richmond Moore at a school. Only this time I looked a little more closely at the names of the boys
and this is what I saw ....
. . . . Henry Middleton 16 Halfred Moore 10 b.ca 1831, No birth place given Richmond Moore 12 George New 19 . .
What do you think???

Sylvia, Thank you for looking that up. I'm not sure what to make of it. I will have a look through some other info and let you know. What do you mean by the "n" in you last message. Regards Lyn
