looking for information hit a brick wall

Hi I am trying to find out my grandfathers family and I only have limited information about him.I think he was born in Liverpool.His name was James Moore.He was born on the 20th July 1913 and died approx end of Aug beg Sept 1979.He grew up in upper harrington street in liverpool.he had a brother Benny and a sister Martha.He also had step brother and sisters only know the nameof one step sister she was called Jessie.He married Agnes Joynson and had 5 children Gwendoline (died aged one) grace james william and sheila.If any one has any information about james or his descendants I would be really greatful as I am quite new to all this |

If you can't find a birth record for him you could always buy a copy of her birth certificate and this will give you the name of their parents. |

Do you know if the step siblings were older? If so there is a family living in Toxteth in 1901 with Jessie Moore as a 6month old baby and two brother Thomas , and Joseph 2. |

thanks to everyone for their information it looks like we are on the right track as my mum is certain there was johnstone surname on that side of the family and also mainwaring as well.she isnt sure if the step brothers and sisters were older or younger as she believes both parentsof james were married more than once |
