re/ james moore listed in the toxteth workhouse in 1901 how do i find out who he was married to and the date of his death /thanks go to K for previous info on this subject i think i am very close to finding my 90 y/o mothers g /father any help on this appreciated thanks again K eric m

You have to start with what you know.........and work backwards.

If you are looking for a specific relation.........start with the person whose info you are certain of.......and follow the line by getting certs for each event for each generation.

If, as I think you mean, you are looking for your great grandfather, get the birth cert of whichever of your mother's parents was his child. Then you will know the full names of his/her parents

Once you have those details, you can look for the appropriate marriage.........

looks like him in the 1891 census born liverpool 1837 as it says on the 1901 .He is single lodging at st annes liverpool his job is a porter

do you have his parents looks to me they were william born jersey1805 and grace born holyhead northwales1809 james liverpool age 14 on the 1851 census and a brother john born 1850 big gap between them 13yrs
