I am trying to find a marriage.
It is of William Henry Moore and Mary Elizabeth.
Her surname is might be.
Seabrook(Her maiden Name)
Nobbs(Name of first husband)
It would have occurred between 1913 and 1923 though more than likely 1920-1923
The location of the marriage would have been bethnal Green or shorditch.

Mary elizabeth Moore late Nobbs Formilly Seabrook.
Born on 7th November 1923.
My grandad is still alive though but has dementia.
His wife(My nan) Said he's mum was long dead time there marriage in 1943.
Alfred birth is proablly correct.

Mary was born 1901 according to the birth i found so i doubt she had children a year later.
Maybe they did not marry and she just used his name.
And Others ment she would have had a few children early 40's

No sadly.
I dont have a first name and My grandad sister Joyce wont speak about it.

Getting a birth certificate of one of the Nobbs children will give you the father's name.

Yeah But Jocye was born around same time.
Joyce is definitely a Moore as i know her.
My dad wont let me get one of the Nobbs births as he think it is unnecessary.
Think she is either one year older or Younger than Charles.
Found it in in DEC quarter 1925.
I reckon Marriage of Moore and seabrook/knobbs did not take place.
Going of for the night. Back about 7.50 am tomorrow morning.
If i can perusade my dad I will get Frank as my dad(and mum) knew him.
They also knew alfred though.

Terry, If it were me I would get both the 1921 birth certificates for Alfred to see if all the details match.

You can order them online from the GRO, costs seven pounds per certificate. I can't think of another way to try to clarify the situation.

Dad wont let my get any of the children certs as he thinks they are a waste of money.

Alfred was known as a moore i have found out.
Apparently there were twins but dont know who was father.

Also she was dead in by 1943(My grandparents Mariage) so perhaps she was born 1881

Have persuaded dad.
Will hopefully buy nobbs births in a month or two.
But if there certs i got on order don't come soon my dad might not let me buy any.

Sadly the ones i got on order have not come and now he says no more certs ever.

Are you not able to buy the certificates yourself?

There is no death for a Mary E Moore beween 1924 and 1943 in Beth Gr or Mile End areas ----- she did'nt just leave??
perhaps the children were told she died !!

Do you know what area they were living in when your gr parents married.
