The moore family

Iam searching for the Moore family, my grandma was Frances Ellen Moore her father was john moore and her mother Mary Jane
her maiden name was thickett and she was from Penrith. In the 1901 cencus they lived in Ferry Hill Co Durham. There were six children.

Is there any one out there who thinks they may be related to this family. I was named after my Grandma she married Andrew paterson in 1918 He lived in Tudhoe Co Durham.

Hi Frances. This is what I have found up to now.

John married Mary Jane Thickett. 1871 Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Durham. vol 10a 552.
copy of certificate will give their ages, their Father's names and occupations, and witnesses who may be siblings.

As all the children of Charles on these census records appear to be to his first wife I presume she died 1858/1861 and that he remarried in that period. I will have another look to see if I can find the marriage but to get the Mother of the children you will need to get a copy of one of the childrens birth certificates. I hope this helps. Ethel.
