my grandmother on my father's side was Chrissie (Christian/Christine?) Moore. as far as i know, she was born in the Isle Of Man along with her-i think!-4/5 sisters. One being Dorothy and another being Winnie/Winifred. She had a 'love-affair' with a man called John/Jack Cleator from the Isle Of Man and they had x 2 sons out of wedlock-my grandfather was married to another lady!-one being my Dad,Ernest Moore.(dad took his mother's name for this reason.) Another was born-I think about 2/3 years after my Dad-who was adopted by a family in Castletown Isle Of Man by the Potts/Potter? family-apparently 'very well up' in the Castletown/Cains Brewery business! If anyone has any information on either my grandfather or my uncle please contact me @ [email protected]. Thankyou. |
