looking for any info on both of my fathers grandmothres who both had the surname of moore mary moore born c1842 her father was thomas moore a labourer she died in 1927, she married john beresford in 1865 at the time of thier wedding they were both listed as servants, mary at a place called lisnevenagh and john at islandreage, witness to the wedding was james beresford ( johns brother) and elizabeth moore( poss marys sister). i do know that mary had two other sister's margaret who married john's brother james and frances who i don't think ever married. john and mary had 5 children, john and mary who i think may have been twins, thomas alexander ( my grandfather) elizabeth and samuel. on the other side was jane moore who married william hanna janes father was david moore a stonemason i don't know much more about this side only that they had at least two children, margaret jane 1880 and david 1885. margaret hanna then married thomas alexander beresford in 1901 hence my father and the rest of us. all the family came from belfast and antrim anything ring a bell please get in touch.
