Find Ancestors

I'm trying to find information on my GG Grandfather James Morris MD from London on the census and having quite a bit of trouble. Also trying to find his father (also James Morris of Paisley - I think) and other family.
We're fortunate to have lots of information about his working life as a medical researcher and author but not much about the family.
His obituary is available online which helps with some info.
DOB: 29/10/1826 London Death: 22/12/1900 London
At time of death lived at Somers Place, Hyde Park Square. He also studied at Glasgow Uni for a while.
We know that one of his sons is David King Morris (my G Grandfather) who was an engineer but know nothing of the other siblings mentioned in the obituary.

Thankyou Gwyn! As a relative newbie to doing my family tree can I ask how you find baptism dates etc?

Many London baptisms pre 1906 are listed on the Ancestry site, which is a subscription site.
Many marriages are there too.
There are images of the actual parish registers.
