MORRIS I am trying to find relatives of my great grandfather's sister SARAH A MORRIS her surname when she got married was PURVIS. My great grandfather was called CHARLES WILLIAM MORRIS born 17/11/1869, SARAH was born 1867-68. Their parents were called JOSEPH KIRTON MORRIS born around 1836 and HANNAH DUNN born around 1843. JOSEPH and HANNAH were married at Christ church in Tynemouth on 27/05/1867. JOSEPH died 11/08/1897 and HANNAH died 27/02/1907. CHARLES and SARAH were born at Howard Street, Tynemouth in the 1881 census SARAH was 13 years old and they lived at North King Street, Tynemouth they also lived at Marine Terrace, Tynemouth. JOSEPH KIRTON MORRIS had a butchers shop in Tyne Street, Tynemouth. My great grandfather married THERESA HARRIS in 1893 at Jesmond Parish church, they had nine children. My great grandfather used to be bar manager at the Balmoral Hotel on Westgate Road, newcastle Upon Tyne. He died on 04/11/1925. I would love to find SARAH'S relatives as i am doing the family tree and until now we never knew she existed! If any of these names are familiar please get in touch. THANKS Karen |
