I'm trying to locate information on a relation Ralph Archibald Nicholson 1870 in Seaham Harbour, Co Durham.
I have him on the 1901 Census living with his wife Mary J and son John R.
Any info on Ralph's parents, siblings would be greatly appreciated.

No sign of him on the 1861.

You do need his marriage cert - that will confirm his father's name. Particularly as his mother (if those census details are correct) has been widowed for so long. There are a couple of Ralph Nicholsons born in the area around the same time and it would be too easy to go wrong.
