My Grandad was Christopher Nicholson born on the 1st January 1912 it is believed that he was born in Mayo Ireland however I have heard stories that he may of been born in Edinburgh Scotland?? He married my Nan (Margaret Kelly) in 1942 in Mayo Ireland. They had four sons Chistopher, Michael, David and Nigel the first two sons were born in Ireland and the last two in England. I have reached a dead end so would be very grateful for any help.

In the 1911 census of Ireland @ Brook Street,Ballina,Mayo.

National Archives of Ireland;It's free to search and if you've your Grandad's marriage cert...it may well say,James,as his father...as above.
