My Great Aunt Emma Sarah Bailey b 1874 is shown in the 1911 census as married and surname Nicholson. It says she had been married for 12 years. On her death cert in 1918 is says husband was Arthur Nicholson a ships Fireman (stoker). There was some connection with South Africa for Arthur and the story is he died on the Titanic , which seems untue as no Arthur Nicholson resembling him was on the ship. Please anyone do you know him? Thanks, Kath

Have you got them on 1901 census and where were they married?
Do you know when and where they were born.

There was a 64 year old passenger called Arthur Ernest Nicholson on board titanic.

I though Emma was Bailey then she married nicholson.
39,Whindorne buildings St Pancras.
1911 Benjamin Bailey is her dad.
There are only two people

Benjamin Bailey 1837
Emma Nicholson 1874 married.

No sister Edith with her.

Hi Mary,

If you put your cursor ( white arrow from the mouse on screen) onto the last post and go towards the full stop it changes to a something similar to the capital letter i.

Once you have that left click the button and keep your finger on the left button on your mouse and move the mouse were you want it............... this should highlight what you have done and should turn blue.

Once you have highlighted the words unclick your finger, and stay within the blue area and right click, this should bring up a drop down bar with the word "copy" in............. click on that.


Then do what you need to and then left click again and the drop down bar will have "paste" on it.... click that and it should appear.

Best to have a play and once you have the knack it will be so much quicker for you.

I have 1911 census and Emma is with her father Benjamin. She died in 1918 of flu. I have her Bible wjth an address in South Africa but cant find Arthur Nicholson anywhere. Thanks for all your help! Kath
