I am looking for relatives of my maternal Grandmother Dorothy who was a Reed. Her mother was Elizabeth Nicholson and she lived in the Hartlepool area with her two sisters Mary (who became a Thompson when she married), Lydia (who died in childbirth-her daughter Phylllis lived with my grandmother and her sister Nora with their mother Elizabeth), and a brother Edward Nicholson. Elizabeth Nicholson became a Reed when she married - her husband died after the First World War as a result of being gassed whilst serving in the forces for his country. Elizabeth did not marry again - I am sure of that. There was also an Olive Nicholson - but we are not sure of the connection - maybe an Auntie. Please can anyone help. Thankyou. |
