Trying to find Nicholson

Don Nicholson. I am trying to find out if my Grandfather, William Scott Nicholson 1869c had any siblings. He was married to Mary Coates 1881c. The address on their marriage lines was given as 57 and 55 Stevenson Street South Shields next door neighbours in fact. My Grandfathers occupation was listed as fireman (sea-going). The names of the witnesses James Anderson and Kate Nicholson respectively ,Kate possibly being his sister. My Grandfathers father was called John ,the only information being that he was a merchant seaman. My Grandmothers father was called Edward Coates listed as a bricklayer. Any help much appreciated. Possible that my Grandfather could have originated from Scotland. |
