Trying to find Nicholson

My Great Grandfather's name was Guiseppi Nicholson. I believe he was born around 1890 (could be 10 years either side of that time). He was found in a University as a small baby after his parents went home to Italy. He was taken in by the Nicholson family. He had a note attatched with his name on and was well looked after. I believe at one stage someone found out his original sirname, but it has been forgotten. Guiseppi went on to marry and had a heap of children, one of which was Nana (Pat - not her birth name). They lived in Southampton. Pat went on to marry William Crewe. Guiseppi may have been known as Joe. Can anyone help? From Bev in Victoria Australia. |
