trying to find relatives of my g grandfather John Nicholson who was born1883-85 possibly South Hetton/Haswell, County Durham. HE married Laura Cresswell in 1907 Auburn Illisnois USA. They did not stay long in America, they returned to live in Blyth Northumberland. My grandmother Grace was born in 1907 followed by Jim, Benjamin and isabelle. John (g grandfather) was killed in the first world war in Arras France at the age of 34yrs. By the way the Cresswell family came from the same area of county durham. Marion Sweet P.S His father was Thomas born 1848, mother Ruth ? born 1847. His grandparents were John born 1811 and Margaret ? born 1813 . . |
