My GG G'mother Caroline Nicholson was born in about 1825 in St Pancras, London. She married William Orrin of Colchester in 1844. On the marriage certificate there is no information concerning her father's name or her address or where she lived, just her name and age. When her daughter, Caroline Orrin, was married (to Jeremiah Green Hamblion) in 1872, the witnesses' names are Walter James Nicholson and Caroline Orrin (nee Nicholson). I speculate that Walter James Nicholson is a relative of Caroline Nicholson but have no proofs of this. So I would be interested to correspond with someone who has a shared interest in this particular Nicholson family. Thanks Pat (Australia) |
