Is anyone able to assist with this family George Henry Parker born 15/9/1905 ? - died 15/9/1950 in Robertsbridge Elizabeth Parker born 1901 Mary Parker born abt 1903 Arthur Henry Parker born abt 1907 - died in 1942 WW2 buried in Kranji Cemetery (CWGC) have obtained records of war service from Glasgow - but no parents or date of birth given. On 17/8/1910, the above were deserted by their parents and placed in the Warren Farm Industrial School at Rottingdean Brighton. They were discharged in 1917. Eliizabeth was placed in the Girls Friendly Home in Kemp Town Brighton at age 15 in 1918 The problem is that I cannot trace birth registrations and suspect that as the children were so young when abandoned - they did not know their birth dates and thus the school invented them. Have looked at the records of Warren Farm School and the above info is all I have. George married Mabel Eldridge 30/6/1934 at St Peters Church.Brighton Have obtained many likely birth certs but not able to connect. Possible their parents were - George Parker a shoemaker - died previous to George's marriage in 1934..and Elizabeth Smith ..possibly wed 1899. Any help / suggestions would be most welcome david eldridge |
