Trying to find Parker

This is information handed to me via an Aunt in relation to the Parkers who moved to Wharfedale from Scotland, they had mines in Wharfedale and eventually one came to the Bilsdale area of Yorkshire. The following is the information I was given: 1745 Parkers came from Scotland to Wharfedale and had mines there. Eventually one came to Bilsdale and brought family tree with him. This, years later, passed to my Great Grandma Craggs eldest brother Joseph who farmed at Faceby. He lived to 90 and then the tree passed to his eldest son Alfred Parker who had some position with the Police in Newcastle upon Tyne. He also had another brother in the police force there. Alfred Parker went toWharfedale to make enquiries. All Parkers were dead and there was money in Chancery but it was decided that because of possibly little money and the lapse of years it was not worth pursuing. I am interested in tracing this family tree before 1745 and after, so if anyone out there knows of this family. Please get in touch.
