I'm looking for the young family of Robert Pearson and his wife Jane Elizabeth, who got married in the mid-1890s. By 1911, they should have a young daughter Ellen (born December 1910) and possibly another daughter Ada (born 1911). I don't know if the girls would have had older surviving siblings. |

I'm not certain but Guisbrough and Hartlepool crop up repeatedly in the family history. I think they married in Guisbrough. |

Hello Claire, could you let us know what your source was for the names of Ellen's parents, and the birth years of Ellen and Ada? |

How do you know that the couple married mid 1890's? |

You say that Ellen was born 20th Dec 1910 which means her birth would probably not have been registered until fist quarter of 1911. |

My sources are relatives who, unfortunately, are extremely elderly and can no longer really remember very well. |

If you are absolutely sure that that is Ellen, then I would start by buying the cert. This will give you her father's name and her mother's name and maiden name. Then you can look for a marriage, and if you buy that cert. it will give you lots more info about them, including their ages and father's names, which will help you find them in the census records. |

If Ellen and Ada were your mother's aunts, then either your mother's father, or mother was a sibling. What was their name and where and when were they born? |
