PEARSONS OF NEW MILLS, DERBY. My g/gf was born there about 1811, sometimes called Stephen, sometimes Henry. He and his family moved around a lot, often interchanging forenames. His occupations were always connected to horses & carriages... eg mail carter, coach builder, cab proprietor... as were his sons. Wife Catherine, children Henry John Thomas, Arthur Howard, Clarissa and John Albert (my gf), all born in different counties. Henry/Stephen finally settled in Reading and died there in 1899. I would love to hear from any Pearson's of New Mills who can shed light on his ancestry.
