GREAT grandfather pearson was born somewhere at Stockton co. Durham and was born about 1829 ish. and they called him William he is burried in the church yard of ST.MARY'S church at NORTH COWTON WITH HIS WIFE MARY, a son is also burried with them, it is a big tall cross near bottom of church yard and the writting is at the very bottom of the cross and hard to find because of overgrown grass,Temple House is written on it.William was 86yrs. old at deathon March 29th.1915 and Mary was 77yrs. old at death on 3rd. of Sept. 1908. Mary came from a place called Hetton in Co. Durham. This is as far back as I have got on my own. MY next try is the archives in Co. Durham. Grandfather Joseph and Grandma Elizabeth are burried in Marton in Cleveland Church Yard , it is about the third row from the back of the church yard and it is made of a dark granit marble,at the time it was the most expensive grave surrounds in the church yard, the whole family clubed togeather to provide it.My mother and father were cremated and their ashes spread in the garden of rememberance at Acklam crematorium. Middlesbrough. As they requested.
