Am trying to find the birth record of a Walter rhodes but the only one i can fine is
Births Dec 1910 (>99%)

RHODES Walter Ecclesall B. 9c 449

When i click on the Ecclesall B (Ecclesall Beirlow). is shows it was part of west yorkshire.

My question is does anyone know where in Yorkshire this was??

Sheffield - if you click on Eccleshall then on'here' it will give a list of the parishes included in the district

Hi. Eccleshall Bierlow is part of Sheffield. Yorkshire.Ethel.

I have 2 Walter Rhodes in my tree (so far). Do you have a year or place for yours, or any other information?

Ecclesall Bierlow is one of the nightmares in this genealogy lark, because although it is now designated Sheffield/Yorkshire....in the 19th Century, the period that most of us are interested in, it was at least partly in Derbyshire.
So a lot of the early searches will put Ecclesall Bierlow in Glossop and High peak areas of North Derbyshire.
