I would be grateful for any help tracing the descendents of Leonard LT Rhodes and Annie Elizabeth Campbell, married in Edmonton, London in 1941. I know Leonard had a brother, Louis John, born in 1916 and died in Brighton in 1996. |

This is a wealth of information Astra. Many thanks for your efforts. I will try to contact the Rhodes in California and see if they are willing and able to confirm the link. If you find any other information on the Rhodes family I would be very grateful to know more. The other line I am trying to trace is the Dittmers, who emigrated to England from Hanover, Germany, around the 1840's. Perhaps Shipping Records could throw up a name there. Claus Heinrich Dittmer, who married Miriam Laycock in 1852, was the earliest I could find. In the 1851 Census his father is given as George Dittmer (could have been Jorg or Juergen?), a farmer from Hanover. |

Yes this is the first Dittmer to land in England. The ship entry also states Class HO2, certificate number 140. Is there any document I can get which gives more details? (e.g. age, address in hanover, civil status). |
