My ggrandmother Jane ROBERTS daughter of William ROBERTS and Jane PEARCE was born C 1827 probably in Crowan Cornwall. She arrived in Australia 1853 and although she appears with her family in the 1841 Census (Trewen Farm nr Lanreath) I cannot find her in the 1851 Census. I would like to know where she was at this time! Her youngest brother Thomas Peter ROBERTS c Lanreath 1844 appears in the 1871 Census at Trevelmond but then 'disappears' he may have married Grace SKEWES in Helston in 1874. He was still alive in 1879 as he is mentioned in his mother's will at that time. I suspect he may have immigrated either to Australia or NZ. I would love to unravel this bit of the family puzzle, Thank you. |
