Help! Can someone read occupation please

Hi can anyone please read the occupation of William Roberts in 1871 Wales census, b1841 living and born in Denbigh, Denbighshire, Spouse Mary, it looks like chinese to me, I've tried turning it upside down and everything but it still does not make any sense,

Wonder if I'm looking at the right one because it's very easy to read!
