Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 203 Send Message	Hi I give in I need help here! To give a bit of background. I am helping a family member out.... She was born in 1941 but no fathers name is given on her birth certificate. The information we have to go on is that his surname was Roberts and he was based in the Pattismuir Barracks around the beginning of the war, from this we have been informed that there are two possibilities: - Private Percy Marshall Roberts born glasgow died 26.1.42 age 31 - Lieutenant George Roberts born Edinburgh died 02.08.43 age 29 - was son of George and Jane Richardson Roberts of Edinburgh, his brother Kenneth died in service 05/06/40. He never came back from war but apparently his family were told of this persons existance before he went to war and told if anything happened to look after her. I dont think she ever heard from them, they came from Aberdeen. Any help tracing their births or families would be appreciated I am struggling with Scottish records. Jenny
