I have just started to build my family tree and am looking for my great uncle James Roberts. James was discharged from the Army in either 1943-1944 and was sent on war-work in the South. James had brothers - Ronnie, who was a prisoner of war in the Far East in 1944, Herbert (Nibs) who was a prisoner of war in Germany in 1944, Harold who was in the RAF. He had two step-sisters Gertie and Amy and also a step-brothers Hobby lee & who was a well known amateur boxer in North Wales and was in the Royal Navy. He also had a brother Arthur. James' parents were Jack Roberts and Emily Roberts all of whom lived in Rhyl, North Wales. As my grandfather, Nibs, is now deceased along with the others, it is really difficult to get a straight story about my Uncle James. From what we know, James had a row with one of the brothers, I don't know what year, but he then left Rhyl with his girlfriend, and we believe he went to London. If anybody can relate the names or story to one of their relatives, please let me know it would be a great help and my Dad would be happy to know what happend to his Uncle James.
