Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace my Grandfathers family history, and principally the story behind his leaving Cheltenham, when he was approx 14/15. His Name - Lionel Colin Roberts born 28th Feb 1903. He was the 4th child of Sidney Roberts and Kate (nee Jones). Other siblings Sidney Edward born 1898 Ethel May born 1899 Cecil K born 1901 Doris born 1905 I have discovered via registry search that Sidney Roberts came from Stroud originally whilst Kate came from Gloucester. The eldest child Sidney E was born in Kings Worthy Hants but the others were all born in Cheltenham and lived at 2 Marlborough Place Townsend Street at the time of the 1901 census. My Grandad Lionel was born there too. Grandad died in approx 1969 and as the child of his youngest son Michael I know very little about Grandad and why he left Cheltenham. He said very little to dad too. We do know that when Grandad moved to a modern bungalow in the sixties his new next door neighbours mother coincidentally knew and was friends with his youngest sister Doris. I have also found out that Great Grandfather and Mother Roberts were married in 1986 in the Parish of Christchurch. If this rings any bells with someone elses family history I 'd be really grateful for any background on my grandfathers youth. I have a photo of my Grandads wedding that may include some of his family but we are not sure and no -one left in Suffolk can identify these good folk. Hopefully someone out there can help me.
