Luddington Angel Roberts This was my great grandfather. Possibly also had the name David but known throughout his life as 'Lud'. Sometimes called himself Arther too. Mother was possibly a 'Miss Angel' who may have been from London. He married Ada Annie (maiden name unknown) at St John-In- Becwardine around 1900. They had daughters Maude Eleanor Gladys, Margery and some sons whose names are not known to me. His occupation in 1901 is Surveyor in Sparkhill, Birmingham Also had connections to Wolverhampton. Have recently discovered that he had 2 other wives/partners(?). No 3 being Mabel Lynda Roberts (don't know her maiden name). They had a son Peter Edward Roberts who was killed in 1944 age 18 and bured in War Cemetary in France. There is a theory that there was also another brother David who lived in Wolverhampton. Any information on any of the 3 wives and families greatly appreciated. Thanks Catherine |
