I am trying to find more information about Alexander Robertson (born 1812 in Scotland) he was the son of Donald Robertson of Ross and Cromarty and Mary Matherson. In 1835 he married Christina MacLeod who was born around 1815, and in 1837 they sailed, with their 2 year old daughter Isabella, from Skye to Australia on the second bounty ship set up by John Dunmore Lang. They became farmers in New South Wales, having many children before both dying in Australia in 1888 and 1891 respectively. I would like to know if anyone knows more about Christina MacLeod, who her parents were, where she may have been born, and how she and Alexander met. Alexander's occupation on the passenger list for the William Nichol lists him as a shepherd. It would also be good to know if anyone knows more about his life before departing for Australia.
