Hi can anyone help me with my gt gt grandfather who was called John Harvey Robinson born in 1848 & married Martha Howard ( she was a widow I think her maiden name may have been Whitley or Whitney) they had at least 3 children William, my gt grandmother Hannah and another daughter Ettey (Henrietta?) They married in Newcastle in 1875 I have their marriage cert - John was an Engineer (mariner) and his father was also called John Harvey Robinson and was a soldier, Martha's father was called George and was a joiner. That is all I have so would love it if anyone has any info about any or all of them.
Thanks
Val Harvey

I have found on the IGI Anne Harvey Robinson Ch.26 May 1876 Christ Church Newcastle upon Tyne Northumberland. To John Harvey Robinson and Martha.

Are you sure it is 'soldier' for John Harvey Snr.

Thanks for that Jean I will have a look at family search, I have John & Martha's wedding cert & it definately says John senior is a soldier - but that is all I am relying on.
