I have a birth certificate for Thomas McDonner 19/5/1914 Grimsby,
father John James McDonner, mother Annie McDonner formerly Robinson.

Marriage certificate for Thomas's mother and father 15/4/1914 Grimsby. James McDonald age 38 years fisherman, father James Mcdonald (deceased) bricklayers labourer, and Annie Robinson age 39 years spinster, father William Robinson (deceased) foreman iron works.

I think I have found Annie on the 1881c Holbeach, but cannot find her after that.

Can anyone help please.

Thanks

Meg

There is a possibility on 1891 census. The age is a bit out but it is difficult to check on the census return to verify if the transcriber was right. If it is her she was working as a servant for James and Mary Ann Farmer in Holbeach. Can't see anything on the 1901 census for her.

Thanks Jeanette

Think you are onto something as Annies brother on 1881c is Farmer Robinson and brother Harfet on birth index Harfet Farmer Robinson, maybe this was Annie mothers maiden name?

Thanks again

It certainly was, Meg. William Robinson married Mary Farmer j/a/s 1863 at Holbeach vol 7a 503. James was Mary's brother and thus Annie's uncle. Mary Farmer's father was Thomas Farmer and her mother was Elizabeth.

Thanks again Jeanette.

Not sure if she should be in my tree yet though, as Thomas her son was my G uncle, but my grandfathers birth certificate says mother Annie Downes.
