I know this is probably a shot in the dark but if anyone could help me I would be so so grateful. I have recently found out my gt grandfather came from County Monaghan Ireland. I know he arrived in England aged 17 and I have no problem knowing where he went from here. But I would like to find out more about where he came from. I beleive he never spoke of his origins only to say the county he came from. Any help or ideas would be gratefuuly rceived. Pam

Have you found him on any census records?

What name and occupation did he give for his father when he married please?
