I'm trying to find any details of my granny, Ida May Robinson, who was b1909? and married - Bertie McVeighty in 1936 in Thirsk, Yorkshire.
She divorced him and married Tommy Cooper?
All I know about her life is that she lived in York from the time she got married until she died in 1996.
I'd love to find out anything about her life and family

Actually her death cert should say she was wife or widow of and give her husbands name, which will help to find a marriage to Mr Cooper
