Mary Robinson (born 1873) and William Aspinall (born 1874) were my great grandparents. They were from the Burscough, nr Ormskirk area of Lancashire and married in Liverpool in 1896. Both are buried in St John's churchyard at Burscough. William's parents were Stephen Aspinall and Margaret Rothwell and were boat people on the Leeds/Liverpool canal. William had two sisters, Margaret Aspinall who I think married a Mr. ? Lamb, and Alice Aspinall, who I think married Henry Cheetham. Mary had a sister called Frances, who married Jeffrey Wareing. Names listed in newspaper following William's death in 1950 are Stephen & William Lamb, John Cheetham, Thomas, Henry/Harry, Richard & Robert Robinson (all nephews) and Mrs M Gibbons, Mrs Ellen Durkin, Mrs Watkinson and Mrs Draper (nieces). Merry Christmas everybody, from Beryl
