I am looking for my cousin kathrine whos father was Verdan Hamel known as Bert Robinson from leyton/stratford east london she emigrated to australia must be 40 years ago.her mothers name is ivy she lived in stratford, he did marry again to a eileen but after her death went back to his first wife and went to live in southampton to be near children from his first marriage,he sadly died but as far as i know ivy is still alive and living in southampton.Berts mother was Harriet Dawson and father henry/harry robinson.i would love to get back in touch with kathy,we were good friends when we were young,and i would love to contact her again. Also my grandmothers family who i believe own a range of shops here and new zealand.(shoe shops was the first i belive in London) I also belive my grandmother was disinherited because she married beneath herself. she had 10 children but dies aged 40 years from a bad heart,Harriet was a very beautiful lady with a wonderful smile.If anyone knows about Katherine or Harriets family i would love to get in touch. thanks in advance sylvia robinson |
