Trying to find Robinson

I am still trying to find my soldier. He is Gervase Robinson born ? 1837 in Hook Yorkshire. He married in Ireland - Mary Loughead in 1865. They had one shild that I know of born in Ireland in 1867 and then my grandmother Jane Ann Elizabeth Robinson born in Aldershot Hampshire in 1868. Gervase was a soldier in the 5th Dragoon Guards. I do not know where or when he died, he was dead before my grandmother married in 1887 in Hull Yorkshire. I cannot find him or any of the family on the 1881 census. I also cannot find a birth certificate for him. Any help would be appreciated.
