Hi All,

Sorry think I have the wrong birth cert! for William ARRRRR! I have made contact with a relation of (John Poustie) and Isabella Poustie nee Robinson.

I have been able to confirm that John Poustie married Isabella Robinson March 30, 1845 in Holy Trinity Church, Sunderland (the same ref Cheryl kindly found).

Isabella was the daughter of Andrew Robinson and Jane Lovat.

She was born July 30, 1826 in Walker, Durham, England, and died April 9, 1913 in
Birkenhead..

I have tried to search census records to find Isabella with brother William but no joy, i'm not very good at this, could anybody please help me locate more information on William or the family.

Thank you so much!!!

I have been able to find Isabella in these Census Records; 1861, 1871,1881 and 1901.

Unable to find her for 1841, 1851,1891.

The only census records I've been able to find for William Robinson born (1861) are 1881 and 1891!

Unable to find him for 1861, 1871, 1900 -may have been missing/dead then?

Please could you help me locate these records if possible.

I currently live, sleep and breath William Robinson - I really need to find him for my grandad.

Thank you so much, hope you can help.

Hi Cheryl,

Yes! the 1841 Census looks good - sorry it had taken me so long to reply my computer crashed! Getting to think that he doesn't want to be found!

When my nan was searching for him back in the day before the internet! she was leaving the library and got blown over by a gust of wind and broke her hip! no wonder she's passed the searching onto me...

But I did find his wife this Christmas thanks to Derek on GR, so look's like we are getting some where. Thank you for helping me, any information you can find is excellent x
