William John Wright Scott was born in Stenhousemuir Stirlingshire in 1902. he left Scotland early 1930s & was in Toowoomba Queensland 1936 (On electoral roll)

in case this helps....the 'QLD State Library' has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (on-line) - they will check their records including electoral rolls and newspaper death notices. Valerie (WA)

I assume that Ivy was his wife, not his mother or sister ?

Have checked the 1949 roll and can not find either William nor Ivy on the list.
