Still trying to find info on Charles Victor Scott. On immigration papers to come to Australia (1962), he stated that he was born on 9DEC1924 in Belfast, that he was self employed as a painter/paper hanger/decorator and living in Rathcoole. Also states that he did 2 yrs (1957-59) as a Nursing Attendant in the RAF.
His father was also called Charles and he lived, at the time, at 170 Manor St., Belfast.
My request in 2006 for Charles Jnr's Birth Cert. from GRO Belfast revealed that no Cert. could be found (1920-1926 covered). He was married to Marbeth Watson at St. Silas's Church Hall, Belfast, on 4May1950.
Any further info on this elusive relation (in-law) would be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking for his past family ie in Ireland or are you tracing his family in Australia.? Charles travelled to Australia with his wife and 5 young children ( see National Archives, immigration records) they quite possibly are still living.

Hi Deborah,
Thanks for your reply. I have the immigration papers as this is my wife's father.. Parents were divorced not long after arriving here and are now deceased.
As I stated in my search request, from his birth date, as written on the form, GRO Belfast was not able to find a birth certificate. Because of this I am unable to backtrack to his parents and siblings etc.
