Hi looking for any information concerning the Scott family, of Elswick Newcastle upon Tyne. According to the 1881 census, my great granddad was living in Clumber St Elswick With his wife . I Know that Abt 1855 Thomas married Mary Elizabeth Robertson, and between abt1877 &1888 they had 8 children Margaret abt 1877, Thomas abt 1879, Alice abt 1880, George abt 1881, Alexander in 1883, James abt 1885, Jennifer abt 1886, and Elizabeth abt 1888. According to the next census of 1901 Thomas and two of his sons George & Alexander were still listed as living at Clumber St and as working at the Elswick engine works. My granddad Alexander died in 1964, sometime after I recall bringing my dad up to see his uncle James (wee Jimmy) I think it was somewhere at or near Bedlington. Can anyone help?
