My father, Gilbert Edwin Scott, was born in 1918, the son ofDavid Scott and Mary (nee Johns) who were married in 1911 at Swindon, Wilts. David's father was Arthur John Scott born 1849 in Kings Lynn and his mother was Rebecca Samson Scott born in Wiggenhall 1849. They had 13 children: Eric, Edith, Margaret, Charles, George, Mary, Arthur, Walter, Stephen, Ebenezer, Harry, David and Alec. The 1881 census shows Arthur as a Coal Merchant and Agent.
