my name is Diane Barnes nee Scott born 08-12-64 i am trying to trace my fathers family history Arthur Scott born 11th dec 1924 walthamstow,brothers were Fred,Herbert,charles, sisters Rose and Winnie,one brother alive sidney. Father was Herbert Cecil Scott born 1880 died 1929 served in the First World War at the Battle of the Somme. Married Caroline Sophie Staples. Her mothers name was Cole. Herbert Scott was from a family of master painter & decorators born in Norfolk then moved to Walthamstow at some stage.
