Inverkip/Greenock/Gourock Scotts Does anyone have Charles Francis Scott b. 08/08/1870 at Inverkip, Renfrewshire Scotland. Charles was the son of Thomson Scott and Jane Francis Hanley who married in Greenock Renfrewshire Scotland on 27/12/1849. He was one of the few surviving children of a rather large family which included his brother Thomson Scott a shipping clerk and his sister Eugenie Bessie Hanley Scott who was a nurse. His older brother Peter died 01/02/1905 in Gourock Renfrewshire Scotland. The Scott family had lived in Ashton Road Gourock for a number of years. Charles graduated as a Doctor/Surgeon 1900-1905 at Glasgow University Lanarkshire Scotland and following his graduation he emigrated to New Zealand where he is believed to have married and had a family. |
