Trying to find Scott

I am looking for information on my great-grandmother, who is listed in the 1891 Census for the Gorbals (Glasgow) as Marion Scott, age 22, born in Wishaw, a dairymaid at Dumbreck or Drumbreck Farm outside Kirkintilloch. She gave birth on the day of the census, Apr 5, to my grandfather who she named James George Scott McGillivray. His father was Edward McGillivray who worked as a dairyman on the same farm, which his family leased. Marion was staying at the home of a family called Eadie at the time, and she gave the baby up shortly after to be raised in Kirkintilloch by a William and Sarah Paton. My grandfather remembered meeting his father, but knew nothing about his mother, as she seems to have disappeared from the scene. I'd appreciate any information being passed on. Thanks.
