trying find any info regarding Scotts. Does any of the following match to your tree? John Scott born circ1874 married Edith or Aida Barton, lived in Miles Platting, Manchester from 1901 or even before. With regards to John there has been talk that he originally came from Ireland, but alos Colne and Pendle has been mentioned. He was a market porter (and heavy drinker!), but died pre 1934. They had a few children, my grandma (Elizabeth Scott, b1904. Also John Scott who married Marie. They moved to London They had two children, one called Lillian Scott who was one of the first female bus drivers. Other children mentioned. Joe, Leonard, Flo and Mary. All are meant to have moved to London. I have loads of family stories regarding this family but no facts! Can anyone help? |
