Can anyone please suggest how to locate details of Ginette Shama's birth?
I know she was born circa 1917 (unable to find details on UK records) so it is possible she was born outside UK. Ginette's father was Ezra Shama (no other information known apart from him having died prior to Ginette's marriage in 1944)
Ginette served with WAAF with Middle East Forces during World War II.
Ginette married in Alexandria, Egypt during 1944 and her marriage certificate showed her as being English. I assume she was a UK resident when she enlisted to be eligible to join 'our' Forces.
Any information or suggestions would be much appreciated.
