My family (Martin) came from the East End of London. I have a newspaper cutting of someone who I believe to be my Great Great Grandfather, Henry Hollingsworth. Henry abandoned his wife who had to go to the workhouse and Henry was threatened with prison if it happened again.

Henry appears to have been married and to have had a daughter called Rosa Ann who married Stephen Sherwood in St Johns Church 18th Feb 1872. and had 13 children most died in early infancy Walter Alfred Sherwood was born 1893 and died in 1915. Rosa herself died in September 1916.

The inscription in the bible is interesting as it states Stephen Sherwood was killed November 16th 1920. That is the last name in the bible.

Now I cannot trace a connection to my mothers family name of Martin/Negus.. Can anyone help and give me information about the connection with my family.
